Our beautiful rugs are handwoven in India at an institute for the mentally disabled. They are all woven from organic cotton leftovers from our productions. All rugs are unique and unevenness will appear as part of the design. We pay this institute directly for them to weave these rugs. There is no intermediary supplier who takes a cut of their earnings. Our own supplier helps them get it packed and sent to us for free when it is finished. Weaving these rugs helps develop their coordination and motor skills and it creates great joy in those who weave them.
